On Friday, November 17, 2023, LACCEA joined the Asian World Film Festival Cambodia Day committee to host the second annual celebration at the Aquarium of the Pacific. The feature film was Surviving Bokator, The Cambodia Day was a celebration of film, food, music, drums, Pin Peat ensemble, culture, and community. As Supervisor Janice Hanh stated in her letter to the AWFF Cambodia Day committee, “This celebration is an opportunity to showcase the richness of Cambodian culture and creativity., and to highlight your immense contribution to the tapestry of Los Angles Count.”
